The annual London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) is a two-week residential course hosted at the renowned research university, Imperial College London. Our aim is to unite outstanding students from all countries and provide a deeper insight into science (STEM) and its applications for the benefit of humankind.
2022 Keynote speaker already confirmed as Nobel Prize winner Professor James Rothman of Yale University. In 2021 speakers included Professor Dame Sarah Gilbert, Professor Dame Julia King, Professor Martin Rees, Professor Fiona Watt, Professor Saiful Islam and LIYSF President, Professor Clare Elwell.
The summer programme attracts 500 of the globe’s leading young scientists, aged from 16-21 and visiting from over 65 countries. Along with an active social calendar and a focus on cultural education and forming lasting friendships, the on-campus program includes lectures, demonstrations from leading scientists and visits to industrial sites, research centers, scientific institutions, world-class laboratories and universities. LIYSF VIRTUAL includes 10 principal lectures along with virtual lab tour, post lecture lounges for participants to meet each other & talk about the programme, on-demand access to view content,live chat and certificate upon completing the programme.
The 63rd LIYSF is held 27th July to 10th August 2022. The participation fee is £275per student to attend LIYSF VIRTUAL and £2,395per student for the inclusive on-campus programme, with all meals and accommodation provided. Applications are open until May31st, 2022.
